or in areas where water spray, chemicals, dust etc could get in to the unit.
Below is Regarding Amendment 3 Regulations which are in place in the UK:
Regulations Outside the UK differ and you should check your countries regulations before purchase.
This Consumer Unit is of Plastic Construction,
Meaning it is not suitable for installation where UK Amendment 3 Regulations need to be met.
In other words not suitable for domestic dwellings or buildings attached to the domestic dwelling.
It IS suitable for Garages, Shed, Outhouse etc as long as they are not attached to the ‘Domestic Dwelling’.
In this case a risk assessment should be carried out.
All electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
